Seeking Compassionate Caregivers for Young Adults with Autism

Our client is actively seeking experienced Caregivers for young adults with autism. If you have a heart for making a difference, patience, and experience with autism, we want to hear from you. Your role will be vital in providing daily personal care, assisting with therapy and medications, offering emotional support, and participating in enriching activities with these young adults. You'll work closely with our client's family members to ensure the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Provide daily personal care for young adults, ensuring their comfort and well-being in tasks such as hygiene, dressing, and meals.
  • Therapy Assistance: Assist with therapy sessions and other medical treatments as directed by the medical team.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed, maintaining accurate records of medication schedules.
  • Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and companionship, fostering a trusting and positive relationship with the young adults.
  • Engagement: Participate in activities tailored to the interests and abilities of the young adults, promoting social interaction and personal and educational development.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the medical team and other caregivers to ensure the best possible care for the young adults.
Qualifications
  • Autism Knowledge: Highly knowledgeable in the Autism Spectrum, including common characteristics and effective support strategies.
  • Experience: Previous experience (3-5 years) in caring for individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Personal Attributes: Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude.
  • Organized- Highly organized and takes pride in time-management abilities.
  • Safety: Ability to assist with mobility and provide physical support as needed, CPR certification.
  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Driver's License: Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is preferred.
