Assistant EGD/Slot Director
Description

Our client is seeking an Assistant EGD/Slot Director who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the EGD department and team, including the design and evolution of the EGD floor and overall product mix. In collaboration with the EGD Director & VP of Gaming, the Assistant EGD Director will be responsible for the development and implementation of revenue-generating strategies focused on increasing overall coin-in and win per unit growth. With a strong understanding of game analysis, customer service excellence, machine performance, and team development, the Assistant Director will provide leadership to the team and implement strategies to exceed expectations for customers and staff.

Responsibilities
  • EGD/Slots Machine Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of all EGD/Slots machines, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and are in working order.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of EGD/Slots attendants, technicians, supervisors, and managers. Design schedules and provide ongoing training.
  • Gaming Floor Oversight: Monitor the gaming floor for smooth operations, addressing customer concerns related to EGD/Slots gaming.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on gaming regulations, ensuring team adherence to procedures and proper reporting to regulatory agencies.
  • Financial Management: Assist in developing and managing department budgets to maximize revenue while controlling costs.
  • Machine Placement and Configuration: Collaborate in determining optimal machine layout and game configurations.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze data to optimize machine configurations for revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly.
  • Projects: Plan large-scale EGD/Slots projects in coordination with the Director.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Coordinate maintenance programs and repairs for EGD/Slots equipment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years' experience in casino/gaming industry, managing over 300 EGD/Slots machines.
  • Proficiency in using slot management systems and software for performance analysis.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute large-scale projects related to EGD, including acquisitions, replacements, and upgrades.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data, assess trends, and make data-driven decisions for optimizing slot machine configurations.
  • A customer-centric mindset with a commitment to ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Experience in handling and resolving customer concerns and disputes related to EGD gaming.
  • Excellent communication skills (English is essential, French is an asset), both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff, management, regulatory agencies, and customers.
  • Previous managerial experience in slot operations.
  • Strong knowledge of gaming regulations and compliance, with proven experience working with regulatory agencies and managing reporting requirements.
  • Financial acumen with budget management experience.
  • Familiarity with EGD machines and their operation, as well as a good understanding of the technical aspects involved.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
