Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Procurement to lead procurement efforts in a fast-paced gaming and food & beverage environment. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership and vendor management skills to drive cost-effective procurement strategies while ensuring the availability of goods and services.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Identify purchasing needs across the gaming facility and all food & beverage outlets, ensuring timely availability of goods and services while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Analyze market trends, assess vendor capabilities, and maintain a strong supplier network to meet procurement requirements effectively.
- Source and evaluate vendors based on quality, reliability, price, and delivery terms, ensuring adherence to established procurement policies and procedures.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, discounts, delivery schedules, and service level agreements, to maximize cost savings and value.
- Monitor vendor performance, resolve disputes, and establish long-term relationships to secure reliable supply chains.
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize waste, and prevent stockouts.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast demand, plan inventory replenishment, and monitor turnover to ensure adequate supply without excess or obsolescence.
- Implement inventory tracking systems and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across all purchasing and receiving operations.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor agreements, ensuring proper documentation and data management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, changes in procurement practices, and emerging technologies.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of purchasing professionals, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
Qualifications
- A degree in business administration, supply chain management, or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM) preferred.
- 5+ years of proven experience in a senior procurement role, preferably within hospitality and/or casino industry.
- Bilingual in French & English to communicate effectively with vendors
- Extensive knowledge of procurement principles, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in purchasing software and inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations.
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
