Head Shipper and Receiver
Description
The candidate will have to find the required merchandise and transport it to the desired location. His/her duties will consist of shipping and receiving material using a seated lift truck and manually. Most of the work will be done in the outdoor yard.
Responsibilities
- Preparing already made palettes
- Handling all shipping and receiving of material
- Material handling (metal)
- Carry the right material to the right place (using a forklift and manually)
- Working in a team
- Driving a sitting lift
Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of experience in warehousing and material handling
- 2 to 3 years experience with sitting lifts
- Report to work with safety boots and appropriate warm clothing for outdoor work --- ***On completion of probation, may provide equipment to the applicant
- Want to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift loads that can weigh more than 50lbs.
- Be physically fit (because the work is physically demanding)
- Ability to work under pressure (sometimes a fast pace of work)
