Description
Our client is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead their housekeeping team in a large hospitality environment, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The successful candidate will be in charge of all aspects of the department, including budgeting, staff development, and inventory control, while fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork. Attention to detail will be essential in creating a welcoming and hygienic atmosphere, ensuring that every visit to the complex is memorable and enjoyable.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor the housekeeping team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop weekly schedules to ensure operational efficiency and meet labor cost goals.
- Ensure all guest rooms and public areas meet cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Conduct daily inspections to verify compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Address guest requests and complaints promptly.
- Collaborate with Facilities, Food and Beverage, Gaming, and Hotel teams to ensure cleanliness and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with maintenance for room repairs and facility issues.
- Manage departmental budgets and monitor inventory levels for cleaning products and amenities.
- Track financial performance and recommend improvements for budget adherence.
- Develop and implement housekeeping policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Oversee special projects like deep cleaning schedules.
- Collaborate with the front desk to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Handle VIP requests with discretion and attention to detail.
- Gather feedback to continuously improve service delivery.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; degree in Hospitality Management preferred.
- 3-5 years of housekeeping management experience, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team.
- Proficiency in budgeting and housekeeping management software.
- Bilingual (English and French) with excellent communication skills- in order to communicate with all staff and customers effectively.
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations in hospitality.
- Physical ability to perform required duties, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Willingness to assist with cleaning tasks as needed.
