Senior System Administrator
Description
We are looking for a Senior System Administrator to oversee the stability, reliability, and ongoing evolution of our IT infrastructure. The role focuses primarily on Windows environments, Hyper-V, and several mission-critical services used throughout the organization.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and optimize all Windows servers and internal systems.
- Manage SQL databases, ensuring performance, availability, and data integrity.
- Contribute to the administration of the Microsoft ecosystem, including Windows Server, Office 365, Hyper-V, Dynacom, and Exchange.
- Oversee monitoring, backups, and service high availability.
- Participate in infrastructure improvement, modernization, and migration projects.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, configurations, and architecture diagrams.
- Perform any other related tasks required to support IT operations.
Qualifications
- DEC in IT or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in system administration, with strong expertise in Windows Server.
- Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written.
- At least 3 years of experience working in a mixed Linux/Windows environment.
- Proven experience in administering complex systems.
- Strong knowledge of Windows services (DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Experience with virtualization platforms, ideally Hyper-V.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure and cloud services (IaaS, PaaS).
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, and the broader Microsoft ecosystem.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and/or automation tools (Ansible or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work independently.
