The technician will be responsible for installation, cabling, and technical support for security systems used by small and medium-sized businesses. Main responsibilities include:
•Performing network cabling and security equipment installations
•Making connections and conducting connectivity tests
•Installing and configuring security systems, including:
Alarm systems (e.g., Qolsys)
oVideo surveillance and IP cameras
•Conducting functionality tests and quality assurance
•Diagnosing and resolving network connectivity and IP configuration issues
•Completing reports and documenting work performed
•Maintaining the company vehicle and managing inventory
•Providing excellent customer service and demonstrating great attention to detail
The work is primarily in the Greater Montreal area, but opportunities for travel across Canada may be available for those interested<
•CCQ card (1st, 2nd, 3rd year, or Journeyman – Trade 220 Electrician or 222 Security System Installer)
•OR sufficient experience hours to obtain a CCQ equivalency
•Bureau de la Sécurité Privée (BSP) card (an asset; assistance available if needed)
•Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
•Ability to work at heights and lift equipment up to 20 kg
•Experience with Bell Canada or Telus subcontractors in security system installation (an asset)
•Full-time, permanent position, daytime schedule (Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week)
•Overtime possible
