Social Media Coordinator
Description

Our client is currently seeking an experienced, and well-organized Social Media Coordinator to join a dynamic and growing marketing team (on-site). Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the candidate will possess strong communication, design, content creation and photography skills.

Responsibilities
  • Engage and grow the digital fan base by posting daily, monitoring messages, comments, tagged content, and branded hashtags on all social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Assist the Marketing Manager with various projects, including in-house content creation, copywriting, and administration of user-generated content in both English and French (to accommodate their bilingual customer)
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging and creative content daily (e.g., original text, photos, videos, and news).
  • Respond to comments, messages, and general inquiries on social media platforms promptly and seek guidance when necessary on sensitive issues.
  • Optimize the user experience through all channels of customer contact, including but not limited to, our website, social media, and email communications.
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner, and monitor customer reviews.
  • Create and design original and on-brand marketing/promotional materials.
  • Foster a sense of community via outreach and collaboration with creators and local businesses.
  • Compose regular blog content aligned with our audience’s interests and SEO.
  • Effectively promote marketing initiatives via social media to increase engagement and follower count.
  • Update and refine the social media strategy to support the overall communications strategy.
  • Gather and analyze social media platform analytic reports to improve the content plan.
  • Provide professional and exceptional customer service in accordance with established company standards.
  • Support the team on day-to-day needs.
  • Be present at all major floor events and promotions, and coordinate to get content for any events for which you are unable to be present (includes evenings, weekends, and holidays).
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate events outside of office hours.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Strategic Planning: Experience mapping out campaigns. Help develop and implement effective social media strategies that align with the organization's goals.
  • Market Research: An understanding of customer profiles and market segmentation.
  • Influencer and affiliate marketing: Understanding of use and implementation.
  • Understanding of Social Media Platforms: Knowledge of the ins and outs of different social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and TikTok is essential. Understanding of each platform's strengths and weaknesses, demographics, and best practices.
  • Customer Service: A lot of customer interaction happens on social media. Coordinators need to handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and efficiently on social media platforms.
  • Understanding of Current Trends: Being up-to-date with the latest social media trends and popular culture to help in creating relevant and engaging content.
  • Crisis Management: If a social media crisis occurs, such as negative publicity or a customer complaint gone viral, the coordinator should be prepared to handle it effectively.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of social media management tools (Sprout Social), basic graphic design tools (Canva), and basic project management (Wrike).
  • Understanding of Branding: Maintaining a consistent brand voice and image across all social media platforms is key.
  • Time Management: Managing multiple platforms and campaigns can be time-consuming. Coordinators need excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience using Google Suite- Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Calendar. Experience using Slack is an asset.
  • Experience with - SEO, Google ads, Facebook ads.
  • Strong interest in photography, content creation, at ease speaking with people on the gaming floor to take their photos, video content, etc.
  • Fluency in French and English is essential (verbal and written) - will be required to interact and communicate with guests on the floor - additional languages considered an asset.
  • Previous marketing work experience with a focus on social media. Casino experience is an asset
